The Billi Billi is a dependable favourite for fans of Victorian Shiraz showing both intense dark fruits as well as nice little savoury touches that lift it above much of the competition. This vintage seems stronger than many recent years showing plenty of power and complexity. Mid ruby in colour it packs quite a punch with sweet blackberry fruits topped up by savoury cedar, peppery spice and eucalyptus – impressive for the price. It is then quite supple in the mouth with layers of mulberry and cranberry fruits underlined by silky tannins. It’s certainly well pitched for a mid-week red, particularly with pink lamb cutlets.

Condenses the beauty of Grampians shiraz into a well-priced wine from the lively blackberry fruits, the scent of bush mint, bay leaf and the focus on ripe, medium-weight features, it’s spot on. A big mouthful of flavour for a tiny price.
