Fruit from the upper Yarra was hand picked and underwent two fermentations - one in steel, one in bottle. Oak treatment included 5% of Reserve level wine matured in foudre. Aged for 5 years on lees without malolactic fermentation. |

A collaborative effort between the Yering Station winemaking team and Campagne Devaux, comprised of 56% chardonnay and 44% pinot noir and made in the traditional fashion, this was aged for 5 years on lees without mlf. The dosage is in check at 5g/l, the texture ample and creamy, with plenty of toast, iodine and baked apple notes lending credence to a salubrious bready style. Plenty of colour already, yet impressive in its weight, vitality and detail.
