Tasting Notes
Deep garnet red. |
|
Blackcurrants and blueberries balanced with more savoury notes of spice and cocoa nibs. |
|
Juicy red and black fruits frame this vibrant medium-bodied wine. Supple tannins support some of the more forest floor characters including that of blackberry, bramble and blood plum. |

100% shiraz, fermented as whole berries, all old oak (and actually old oak at that, rather than merely “not new”; the oak here ranged from 5-10 years old).
Yes. Buy. ‘Nuff said. Meat, plum, toast and cedarwood characters put on a lovely, fruitdriven-but-savoury show. Oak adds polish. Maybe some game here too but as a positive.
Punchy tannin. Robust and bodied, yet charming.

Claret-purple colour, exotic aromas of sweet tobacco and mulled wine. Dry, savoury and full-bodied, tannins are supple and sleek. Plump cherry and blackberry flavours with a hint of clove and vanilla to finish.
